ISTE STANDARDS
Browse through the ISTE standards for teachers and consider some of those indicators. Can you recall teachers you’ve had in the past who embody these standards?
Most of my teachers in high school usually covered some of the ISTE standards, like facilitating, designing, and collaborating. It's the same in college, but with a more advanced use of technology for learning. For example, as a university student, my teachers have been using technology for teaching and learning. One of the standards that I've recognized as being mostly used is "analyst." Teachers will be able to provide feedback and comments about students in a timely and efficient manner if they use data to drive and support students to achieve their educational goals.
Which standards and indicators do you feel will be most important for you as a teacher, and why? Which are you most likely to promote for students in your classroom, and why?
As a student desiring to be a teacher, I believe being a citizen, collaborator, designer, and analyst are the most important skills. This is mainly focused on the benefits of the application of technology in education. Technology has the potential to improve learning abilities and make them easier and more accessible. A design standard is being able to provide students with knowledge on the use of digital tools and resources to promote active and deep learning. There are numerous learning tools and resources available to assist in engaging and supporting learning.

I agree teachers are analysts. I think it is important for teachers to give feedback to us students and help us to be better. Design is also an important stadnard for students to create with their thinking and ideas. It is amazing the tools we have today for students and teachers to create and design. Thank you for your thoughts.
